But at what cost do you pick up one of the top scoring wingers in the league when all you would have besides him is a solid top 6 defense and beside maybe Hagman and Grabovski group of 9-10 3rd and 4th line forwards...

It's not time yet to make this type of deal. You need a core in place and then you make a big deal like this.

Nick W.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7446463256196245765.post-79559826560592200692008-11-01T14:33:00.000-04:002008-11-01T14:33:00.000-04:00Anonymous Kovi has one year remaining on his contr...Anonymous Kovi has one year remaining on his contract after this one that's why they can't give him a truck load of money. The Sourcehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15995922708265447706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7446463256196245765.post-6265542320914712682008-11-01T14:16:00.000-04:002008-11-01T14:16:00.000-04:00The Leafs will add someone big in the off-season, ...The Leafs will add someone big in the off-season, mostly if they land a Top-3 pick.. Nobody loses anything, except Atlanta lol. Blows my mind that some fans want Toronto to trade for him. Why? Maybe next year we can trade our 1st for Rick Nash while we're at it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7446463256196245765.post-1832859994461348472008-10-31T21:54:00.000-04:002008-10-31T21:54:00.000-04:00leafsfaninottawa.....didn't you ever hear the old ...leafsfaninottawa.....didn't you ever hear the old saying.....it's better to stay quiet and be thought a fool.....then to speak and prove your one ?......get a life....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7446463256196245765.post-70025655484644812262008-10-31T18:02:00.000-04:002008-10-31T18:02:00.000-04:00that's also true.. the Leafs need to keep their as...that's also true.. the Leafs need to keep their assets if they plan on going through with the rebuild.

Cliff has yet to get that homerun deal he's been talking about, sooo....

maybe somehow we can get him without giving up a huge chunk of our future. perhaps, 1 roster player, one good prospect, and a few mid range picks like a couple 2nd rounders and 3rds or something.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7446463256196245765.post-76312451523575405922008-10-31T16:36:00.000-04:002008-10-31T16:36:00.000-04:00Hm. He'll have the high scoring winger he's always wanted, and with the development of our young guys plus whoever we add in free agency, the Leafs would be contenders in the east.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
