Yahoo! Sports reports that San Jose Sharks second year center Torrey Mitchell will be out at least two months after breaking both bones in his lower left leg in practice earlier today. Mitchell, who recorded 20 points as a rookie last season, was expected to be the Sharks' third line center. Someone else will have to fill in for him in the meantime, as he will likely not come back until mid-November or later. This is not the biggest blow to San Jose, but it is certainly an inconvenience, as the Sharks will need as many of their players healthy as possible to stay competitive in the always tough Pacific Division. While Mitchell recovers, Patrick Marleau could move back to center after being shifted to Joe Thornton's left wing.
