According to Depaoli at Inside Pittsburgh Sports, Jordan Staal is looking for a short-term deal as opposed to his brother Eric who just signed a seven-year deal. The rumored deal would be a four year - $13.5 million contract.
The penciled forward lines as of now are: Fedotenko-Crosby-Satan, Staal-Malkin-Sykora, Dupuis-Talbot-Cooke. Janne Pesonen could crack the first three lines though. Players like Jeff Taffe, Eric Godard and Ryan Stone will also battle for a roster spot.

theres no way they can afford him unless he takes a big discount
hes a player who will get way more money then hes worth
I was expecting 4m+ yearly to resign him. seems like he's taking a bit of a discount.
Not an upgrade from last years line up but I like the way these guys are looking.
