As per the Toronto Sun:
"If he proves he can play among the four, around 18 minutes a night, he can be in there," GM Cliff Fletcher said. That's to be expected, there's no point in squandering Schenn's talent by having him play as little as 10 minutes a game. However, that underscores just how hard it will be for Schenn to make the team this season. Schenn needs to take a spot from one of Tomas Kaberle, Pavel Kubina, Mike Van Ryn, and Jeff Finger. Beyond that, he also needs to stay ahead of Carlo Colaiacovo, Ian White, Anton Stralman, Staffan Kronwall, and Jonas Frogren.
My take: I highly doubt the Leafs will keep Schenn this year unless they trade another d-man (Van Ryn or White) ou another rearguard gets injured.

He isn't gong to be there opening night. I myself am happy about it. He needs to gain more experience and confidence at the junior level.
He might make a few appearences throughout the year though.
One more year will not be a bad thing for Schenn. Let him bulk up some more and become one mean SOB to play against. Then Leafs in '09-'10.
i agree let him play with the rockets and captain canada to another gold
Jeff finger....hahahaha
Yes Finger is overpayed no question, but watch Finger be a shut down defensemen who logs huge minutes , and has an amzaing plus minus.
Dennis Lemieux sucks cock!!!!!!
hey i have an idea...lets have 9 or 10 more schenn stories. because we sure haven't heard it all before for the last 2 months......
finger has an amazing plus minus????what was it?...plus 132???
he's a stiff that not one leaf fan even heard of before senile old cliff gave him the farm.
Taking Finger's job shouldn't be too hard.
