According to the Flyers' official website, left wing Simon Gagne is back on his skates and ready to play in 2008-09. A two time 40+ goal scorer, Gagne missed all but 25 games last season due to multiple concussion problems. Thanks to rigorous offseason training and a specialized diet, Gagne is healthy again and ready to help the Flyers make another run at the Stanley Cup. Philadelphia has not announced their line combinations yet, but I think it's very likely that Gagne will play on the top line with Danny Briere and Mike Knuble, which was the Flyers' top line at the start of last year. If Gagne stays healthy all year, he could be good for another 40 goal season, and should help carry his club deep in the playoffs once again.
