As I reported earlier this week, Claude Giroux has been sent to the AHL today, along with forwards Jon Kalinski, Boyd Kane and Jared Ross, as well as defensemen Sean Curry and Nate Guenin
Giroux had a poor camp and needed some seasoning in the AHL before before getting top-minutes in the NHL. He will be the first call-up when another player goes down due to an injury.
