Marcus Nilson will play for Yaroslavl Lokomotiv of the KHL this season.

As per the Calgary Herald, the Calgary Flames and Nilson came to an agreement that will allow Nilson to play for the Russian club.

The Flames will pay Nilson's $1 million US salary, but the cash won't count against the club's cap.

Nilson played just 47 games in 2007-08, averaging less than 10 minutes per game, and managed just 3 goals and 2 assists.

Thank God Toronto didn't pick him up. Just another roster spot available for a good North American boy. Don Cherry must love this "KHL"
