Could Lightning Strike Again Or Will Schneider Be Royalty?

According to a source the Tampa Bay Lightning are "Very Interested" in the services of Mathieu Schneider. Their is one problem, The Lightning don't have the Cap Space. So, I'll say this now if Mathieu Schneider hits Re-Entry waivers watch out for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Here's how it would work:

The Lightning Have Just Over 2.5 Million In Cap Space.
Schneider's Current Contract 5.625 million.
If Schneider his re-entry Ducks Pick Up Half His Contract Therefore Lightning Would Pay just over 2.8 million.
That does put the Bolts over the Cap, However they would move Jokinen and/or Ouellet if this deal went down and they'd still be under the cap with a cushion.

THE TWIST:

The one other team said to have the most interest is the L.A. Kings. Problem here Kings have to pick him up in the first 24 hours on the waiver wire and at full price(5.625 million) or when they reach re-entry Lightning have first dibs because they had worst record.

I AM TOLD IF THE KINGS ARE GETTING SCHNEIDER IT WILL BE BETWEEN 6 and 9 AM EASTERN TOMORROW MORNING.

he can't be put on re-entry waivers until like 12 days before the official start of the season. if Schneider clears waivers, look for him to be traded.
