Daily round up

- The Atlanta Thrashers hope to land another defenseman, possibly even unrestricted free agent Marek Malik, Nolan Pratt or Keith Carney, although they are considering other options. They still plan to give rookie Zach Bogosian the opportunity to make the team.

- Mark Parrish, bought out by the Minnesota Wild, will sign with another team for at least $1.8 million a season. After the buyout, that salary would put him near what he should be making with the Wild. Nashville, NYIslanders, Vancouver and Florida are rumored to be interested.

- Word is that Glen Murray, bought out by the Boston Bruins, is seeking at least $2 million a season. Ottawa, Vancouver and Pittsburgh are rumored to be interested.

- As I reported earlier this week, Marcus Nilson will head to Europe, but it might not be to Sweden but rather with CSKA of the KHL. However, Nilson can't sign with a team of the KHL because he has one year left to his contract with the Flames. If Nilson doesn't report to the Flames camp, he will likely be suspended. Stay Tuned.
