O'Sullivan going nowhere

According to LA Kings' Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Solomon, the talks are ongoing between the Kings and Patrick O'Sullivan's agent. Both parties agree that a contract will be signed before training camp.

Indeed, the negotiations are now down to the final stage…hammering out the length of term and the money. The rumored deal discussed is a three or four yeal contract.

O'Sullivan will not be moved as opposed to some rumors floating around the Internet these days. Teams have inquired about O'Sullivan's availability, but GM Dean Lombardi does not intend to move O'Sullivan.

EDIT: O'Sullivan is on the verge of signing a 4 year-deal rumored to worth $4.25 M per year.
Expect an official announcement later in the week.

That means the Leafs are interested, but not the Kings! :) If I look at Eklund's package of Van Ryn, Bell and two draft picks; I would not even think one second about trading them O'Sullivan...

He's their best penalty killer and is expected to crest 60+ over the next few seasons. He may not be untouchable, but he's not going cheap.

Fred I think the Leafs would overpay with the 2 draft picks.

this trade is not happening although I do believe that Cliff has interest. there is no reason that LA has to move O'Sullivan unless he refuses to sign in LA. Not to mention if he was moved it would take a shitload more than that proposed trade. Look for Steen, and a first to be involved, which to me is way too much top pay for Patrick.

According to the LA kings website Patrick wants 4 million a year and a short term contract so he can make more money sooner. The fans on there are happy to give him a long term deal 4-5 years , but apparently O'Sullivan wants 4 million now. I'm not saying that he is going to be moved at all , but if he is moved expect at least a first to be coming back for him.
