As I reported earlier, LA Kings new center Jarrett Stoll still has not yet signed a new contract. A month ago the 2 sides agreed on financial terms. Those terms would be finalized and the contract would be signed once Stoll was back in the country after vacation. A few days ago the agreement was announced by the Kings but the contract has yet to be signed because the 2 sides are in disagreement about how much Stoll will make per season. A source in the Kings front office has told me that Stoll wants a balanced 3.6 million over the next 4 seasons. The Kings want to front load the contract due to salary cap issues. This is a very small speed bump and should be resolved next week and the contract should be signed.

How does front loading the contract have any effect whatsoever on the Kings cap issues.
It doesn't.
