As many people may be aware, the 2009-2010 season will be the Hurricanes/Whalers 30th year as an NHL franchise (though they also played in the WHA from 1972-1979). In honour of this event, I am offering a contest to all you fans.
Design a new, 30th anniversary jersey for the team, incorporating both the Whalers and Hurricanes jerseys and submit it to elchrisco@hotmail.com. I will post entries on the hockey-bums site and the person who submits the best jersey will recieve a special prize which will be revealed later.
So start sending them in. Contest closes at puck drop of the first Hurricanes game this season.
