The Tampa Bay Lightning have just announced that Barry Melrose has been relieved of head coaching duties after just 15 games in charge. Rick Tocchet will take over on an interim basis.

Im so bummed on this. I was so looking forward to the return of the mullet. Oh well
he was a pretty bad coach. i just dont know whos gonna be next......hopefully not paul maurice, but im sure we will hear his name come up in the next few days...maybe even ted nolan?
What the heck is this? 15 games? Is ownership on speed?
I didnt think Melrose would be a good fit there in the first place, but 15 games? They were dead last in their division last year and only got 71 pts. This isn't NHL 09 where you bring good stats together and they add up...players need to get along and play well together.
WAKE UP OWNERSHIP! This move makes the lightning look pretty bad.
