Blake Scratched Again

The Toronto Maple Leafs have scratched forward Jason Blake for the 2nd time this season. He reportedly left the arena absolutely disgusted. I must say that he's had a chance to redeem himself after the first healthy scratch and in my opinion he has not. What do you leaf fans think because in my opinion he deserves it and Ron Wilson is doing the right thing.

I maybe one of few here, but I think Ron Wilson is tearing this rebuilding mode apart. When he came here, every fan knew he was here to start up a squad that has been terrible the past few years. But, he has done the opposite. Benching players doesn't always give the statement clear. so does Ron Wilson want to win a Cup in the next 15 years, or get the 1st headlinei n the Toronto Star every morning?

This is kinda dumb when Tlusty and White will be playing.

The worst move Wilson is making is keeping Stralman out of the lineup. Stralman is better than everyone on this team not named Kaberle (Kubina might be better than Stralman).

In my opinion I couldn't be happier with the move. I do realize that there could be reprocussions for sitting Blake in that he might hold a grudge against the coach or be sour in the room etc. but since day one Ron Wilson has pushed accountability on the team.

All Wilson is doing is again showing that you are not going to be given the opportunity to throw on a Leafs jersey game in, game out unless you earn it and Jason Blake has not. In New York he was a feisty, hardworking, nose for the net goal scorer and so far in Toronto he just hasn't had that edge.

Ron has played him with different centres and nothing seems to work.

As a leafs fan I am more worried about Sundin coming back and how finishing somewhere in the 9-12 spot is going to hurt the rebuild not Ron Wilson trying to rid the team of the "I deserve to play because I did last year" attitude.

Go Leafs Go!!!!!

I love Ron Wilson. It's time to waive Jason Blake.

I agree with Wilson on this one. Blake hasn't done anything offensively because he tries to do everything alone. The only 5 have seen from him the last couple of games was the one he made to himself. When he got dumped in the Boston bench last week I was hoping that he would pop back up with a Bruins jersey. A fan can dream right?

sorry guys, i gotta disagree with you here. if blake was young, i would be worried about his confidence, assuming there might be some upside that could be damaged. but since blake is basically a diminishing talent who definitely will not get any better, im not too worried about him being upset at a benching. its a rebuilding year and id rather have his scoring minutes going to tlusty or elsewhere. he was just playing 4th line duties anyway, so might as well have hollweg there...

yeah blake has been awful....not even the fact that he hasnt scored or anything but he gives up the puck in the worst times, annnnd stralman is good....but hes young and has alot to learn, he has made a few wonky decisions this seasons. but again, still love the guy....but i guess he needs to play to get better

also white has 3 points in 4 games....and blake has 6 in 14 so i like what ive seen from white...and if we can get rid of blakes 4 mil salary....threw waivers...marlies...trade whatever, do it. coming from a guy who owns a jason blake t shirt, thats saying something, really thought he was gonna do better this year but hes the same,
