TSN is reporting that the Chicago Blackhawks have signed 2nd round pick of the 2007 NHL entry draft, Akim Aliu to a 3 year rookie contract. Aliu split his junior career with the Sudbury Wolves,Windsor Spitfires and most notably the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League(OHL).

whats this guys potential?
He can score and is a big body that can drive to the net. His stats lie from last season. He could have put up more points but spent half the season on defence. I would say Aliu could play second line in the right sittuation down the road, but right now 4th line or in the minors/junior.
