FORSBERG UPDATE

According to Rick Sadowski of the Rocky Mountain News, Peter Forsberg, the Avalanche's only remaining unsigned free agent, is still attempting to solve the foot problem that has been the root of his health troubles in recent seasons.

"Peter still has this foot issue," Don Baizley, Forsberg's agent, said Wednesday. "He has to have that resolved before anything is going to develop on that front. There's nothing new on that score at the moment."

Expect a similar situation this year; if Forsberg plays it will not be before Christmas.
