A short update from Coyotes Country

Hello all!

Quite a few things going on in Coyotes Country right now. Tomorrow we face the Calgary Flames for the second time this season. Our first meeting was at home on 10/25/2008 and the Flames won 4-1. The Great One and Co. have made some changes that will hopefully help our cause as we start our road trip tomorrow night:

  • The Coyotes Recall Center Garth Murray from San Antonio:Murray, 26, has appeared in nine games for San Antonio this season, recording 4-1-5 and 32 PIM. I had the opportunity to watch Murray some in the preseason during training camp and in a few preseason games. Murray scored two goals in 7 preseason games with the Coyotes this year.

  • Line Shake-ups: The Coyotes practiced at Jobing.com Arena before leaving for their next road trip and TGO did some line shake-ups. Rookie Kyle Turris will be scratched from Tuesday's game and will be replaced with Garth Murray for the game. Turris is expected to return to the line-up on Thursday, when the Coyotes face Vancouver. The top line of Doan-Jokinen-Mueller was back together at practice and the defensive pairings have been changed a bit. Ed Jovanovski will be playing with Zybnek Michalek & Derek Morris will be playing with Kurt Sauer. The question is: Whom will be paired with Ken Klee. Will that be Keith Yandle; who is our only D-man to score a goal so far this season, or will it be David Hale who, IMO needs some time off the ice (he is currently a -6). Time will only tell on that one. Here's hoping its Yandle.
