In light of Poni's recent demotion and decent into Wilson's dog house, I thought i would compare him to the man he was replace with on the top line on Saturday night, youngster John Mitchell...

Interesting.
I'm not quite sure why Stajan was benched for Hollweg and not Ponikarovsky.
I think the past x amount of years this same thing has been happening with Antropov and Ponikarovsky. Neither guy is a heart and soul type guy nor are they the talented finess type either.
To me they fit right in the middle. They both do have talent evident in Antropov's career year last year but they don't have that Leaf heart and soul feel to them.
In my opinion that is what the leafs need, a Dustin Brown, Mike Richards, Brendon Morrow, Dion Phaneuf type guy that holds themselves to that higher standard night in night out.
hey i like this idea, but its kind of pointless unless you continue to track it for at least a few more games...and i know you wont post this cause its anon, but i thought i would pass on the suggestion anyway...leafs have played 5 games thus far, after another 5 games of mitchell playing top line minutes, it would be interesting to see a comparison then...
Poni has been lackluster since training camp, I can understand why Ron Wilson would demote him and try to create some sort of spark inside him.
I agree with the above post, but I also think that Poni and Stajan are both better options than Hollweg in any game. We knew that from the start and we especially know it now, after his second suspension.
