Vancouver Canucks’ centre Pavol Demitra will be sidelined 3-4 weeks after an MRI discovered fractured cartilage in his ribs.
Demitra, who signed with the Canucks as a free agent this summer, is expected to see a specialist to deal with the injury.
Kyle Wellwood is expected to take Demitra’s place in the lineup. Wellwood score his first goal of the season earlier this week.

Sundin what!?
Sundin what!?
I am a Leafs fan, not a huge Vancouver fan or anything but I obviously like to see the Canadian teams be successful. That being said I hope this isn't the beggining of a long injury filled season for the Canucks/Demitra.
