Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced that defenseman Craig Rivet had arthroscopic surgery on his knee today. His recovery is expected to be a minimum of two weeks.
Rivet, the Sabres' captain, has 3 assists in 6 games for the Sabres this season. He also has 29 penalty minutes (all in the same game).

he's a great leader and a great choice for captain, but what he did that night was exactly what a leader shouldn't do... I hope he learns from that and realizes his wrongs while he's out with the injury.
Craig has been hurt for a couple weeks, but tried to play through it. Guys will be ok
