- The BlackHawks cut four players, sending Akim Aliu and Kyle Beach to junior, and Troy Brouwer and Cory Crawford to Rockford (AHL). They still have five more to cut. Crawford will be the backup when they deal with Khabibulin.
- The Kings cut highly touted prospect Teddy Purcell to Manchester. He won't stay there long, but he clearly was sent down because of Oscar Moller playing such great hockey. Thomas Hickey was also cut, as well as Alec Martinez, Jonathan Quick, and Kevin Westgarth.
- The Lightning have cut Karri Ramo and Vladimir Mihalik.
- The Avalanche have assigned Kyle Cumiskey to Lake Erie (AHL).
- The Ducks have cut Ryan Donally and Andrew Ebbett.
- The Rangers have assigned Miika Wilkman to Hartford (AHL).
- The Capitals have sent Karl Alzner and Chris Bourque to Hershey (AHL). They also put Quintin Laing on waivers.
