Jackets assign Filatov to Syracuse

As expected, the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned first round draft pick Nikita Filatov to the Syracuse Crunch, the club's AHL affiliate. They also sent forward Derek Dorsett to Syracuse.

Filatov definitely needs a little seasoning. It's interesting that they didn't decide to test him in the OHL though, as he hasn't really played in North America other than the pre-season games.

And anonymous, what's with all the randomly pointless comments? So alex is a young kid, that doesn't mean he doesn't know anything about hockey.
