Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have claimed LW Matt Ellis off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings.
Ellis split last season between Detroit and Los Angeles, picking up 8 points in 54 games.
The Edmonton Oilers placed forward Ryan Potulny on Wednesday. Also, the team placed forward Carl Corazzini on waivers and released forward Guillaume Lefebvre from his professional tryout agreement.
